In a significant effort to address the healthcare needs of marginalized communities, the Oleevia Foundation, in collaboration with the RCC unit of Palakkad, organized an Early Cancer Detection Camp specifically for transgender individuals in Palakkad. This initiative was driven by the recognition that transgender people often face barriers to accessing healthcare, resulting in lower rates of preventive screenings and higher risks of undetected health issues. The camp aimed to bridge this gap by providing comprehensive cancer screening services and raising awareness about the importance of early detection.
The impact of this camp has been profound. The initiative has set a precedent for inclusive healthcare practices and highlighted the importance of targeted interventions to address the unique needs of marginalized groups.
