Empowering Parents of Tribal Adolescent Group, Naduppathy Tribal Village, Palakkad

The Oleevia Foundation, in collaboration with ICDS and Naduppathy Anganwadi, successfully organized an impactful session for parents of tribal adolescents under the “Sampoorna Yuva Yojana,” part of the Project Sashakt Bachpan initiative. Over 20 parents from the community attended the session, which focused on enhancing parenting skills and raising awareness about adolescent issues in tribal communities. The aim was to foster a deeper understanding and support for young individuals facing unique challenges.
Gautam Ramakrishnan, Chief Project Manager and Psychologist, led the session with valuable insights into adolescent development and parenting strategies. Parents were introduced to practical tips and tools to address the unique challenges faced by their children.
Sreeja, Project Coordinator and Social Worker, emphasized the importance of parenting and highlighted critical issues faced by tribal adolescents. Her session sparked meaningful discussions and helped parents connect with their children’s experiences. The parents was very much interested to know more about parenting after the session.
