Honors Haritha Karmasena members on International Women’s Day

The Oleevia Foundation recognized the efforts of Harithakarmasena members on International Women's Day. The state is currently grappling with the issue of population explosion, and waste management has become one of the most critical challenges. In this context, the Harithakarmasena workers have been actively involved in collecting waste from households, restaurants, and public spaces. Their dedication to maintaining cleanliness is commendable, as it directly contributes to a healthier environment. This aligns with the Third Sustainable Development Goal, which focuses on ensuring the health and well-being of all individuals.
As part of the event, our Social Worker and Project Coordinator Sreeja conducted an awareness session on health and hygiene for the women of Harithakarmasena. The session aimed to provide valuable insights on maintaining personal health, safety practices, and the importance of hygiene in their daily work. In an effort to express our gratitude for their dedication and hard work, Oleevia Foundation distributed Appreciation Cards to honor the contributions of these remarkable women. This small token of recognition aimed to convey our heartfelt appreciation for their consistent efforts in keeping our city clean.
The initiative aligns with Oleevia Foundation’s commitment to empowering women and supporting marginalized communities. By recognizing the silent yet impactful work of the Harithakarmasena members, we aim to shed light on the importance of their role in sustainable development and inspire others to value their contributions. The Oleevia Foundation, acknowledging the significant impact of these women, has rightfully recognized them as the true heroes of society. Their relentless efforts not only address pressing environmental concerns but also promote the overall well-being of the community, making them invaluable contributors to both public health and sustainability.
