Anti bullying awareness at St.Ann’s Senior Secondary School
Oleevia Foundation organized an impactful Anti-Bullying Awareness Session at St Ann’s Senior Secondary School,Muttikulangara, Palakkad under Project Sashakt Bachpan. The session, designed for students from Classes 3 to 11,aimed to create a safe and inclusive school environment by highlighting the harmful effects of bullying. The programme stressed the importance of kindness, empathy, and mutual respect in shaping healthier peer relationships.
The main session was delivered by Mr. Gautam Ramakrishnan, Psychologist and Chief Project Manager of Oleevia Foundation. He explained the psychological impact of bullying on both victims and aggressors, outlining how it can affect confidence, academic performance, and mental well-being. Through engaging stories and relatable examples, he encouraged students to identify bullying behaviours and to develop the courage to report and resist them responsibly.
To deepen understanding, Project Coordinator Ms. Sreeja conducted interactive activities with the students. These activities helped children reflect on their experiences, learn the difference between fun and hurtful actions, and practice responses to real-life bullying situations. The exercises also emphasized the role of bystanders in preventing bullying, reinforcing the message that silence can often encourage harmful behaviour.
The programme received highly positive feedback from both students and teachers, who valued the balance between practical guidance and interactive learning. Many participants expressed that they felt more confident in handling bullying situations and in supporting their peers. Teachers noted that the session helped start open conversations about empathy, respect, and the importance of building a safe school culture. Oleevia Foundation reaffirmed its long-term commitment to nurturing positive environments for children and youth by continuing to organize such sessions across educational institutions. By combining professional insights with experiential learning, the Foundation aims to equip students with the right tools to reject bullying, support peers in need, and promote dignity and safety. With continued vision and guidance from Mr. Krishnakumar K T,CMD, Oleevia Group, the Foundation is determined to spread this movement across more schools, ensuring that every child feels safe, respected, and empowered to stand against bullying.
